This is Extra Proof That A New Tony Hawk Sport Is Coming

I’ve obtained some excellent news for all you followers of Tony Hawk’s Professional Skater and its varied online game spin-offs, sequels, and remasters. A skateboarder lately claimed that he can be included in a yet-be-announced remaster of a Tony Hawk skateboarding online game. It’s but another piece of proof {that a} new Tony Hawk sport is within the works.

On February 18, in an interview with the Breakfast Membership podcast, skilled skateboarder Tyshawn Jones talked about how he began skating, and his ongoing profession. And in the course of the interview, Jones offhandedly talked about a brand new Tony Hawk sport.

I’m in a Tony Hawk [game] popping out, in order that’s cool,” mentioned Jones. “They obtained a brand new one they’re remastering. In order that’s about to come back out. I used to be within the final one.”

Jones, who’s 26, appears to be referring to his look in Tony Hawk’s Professional Skater 1+2, the final sport launched within the franchise. This remake of the primary two video games within the sequence launched in 2020. That is the one THPS sport that Jones has appeared in, so he appears to be indicating {that a} new sport—his second look within the sequence—is coming quickly. Activision has but to announce something.

This isn’t the primary time we’ve heard a few new Tony Hawk’s Professional Skater sport being in growth. Again in September 2024, Tony Hawk himself confirmed that him and THPS writer Activision had been speaking and “engaged on one thing.”

Hawk later adopted that tease up with one other, claiming that whereas he wasn’t allowed to say something, he might verify the beloved skateboarding franchise did certainly have a “future.” That sounds loads like a brand new sport is coming!

The query now could be what is that this new THPS sport going to be? In at present’s interview look, Jones claims it’s a remaster of some type. Maybe this subsequent sport can be THPS 3+4, as was first pitched a number of years in the past following the success of THPS 1+2. Activision wasn’t on the time. Or perhaps it’s a remaster or remake of Tony Hawk’s Underground, my favourite sport within the sequence and a fan favourite. Or perhaps its a completely new cell sport and we’re all getting method too enthusiastic about these teases.

One factor is for positive: There appears to be a brand new Tony Hawk skateboarding sport in our close to future. Let’s hope its good.
