Capcom launched a brand new trailer for Resident Evil Requiem throughout The Recreation Awards 2025, and it featured the return of Leon S. Kennedy to the sequence, older and extra grizzly than we have ever seen him. Following that trailer, Capcom spoke with Automaton, as reported by IGN, to debate this beloved character’s return, how a lot we will anticipate of him in Requiem, and his fancy new Porsche.
Requiem director Koshi Nakanishi informed Automaton that Leon and Grace will share the sport’s runtime equally. “When it comes to gameplay, Grace and Leon’s playable sections are nearly equally break up,” Nakanishi stated. “The construction is just like Resident Evil Revelations.”
Nakanishi added that Requiem is Leon’s first return to Raccoon Metropolis since his time in Resident Evil 2, “so seeing how he responds to the ‘place the place all of it started’ now that he is older is one other main focal point.” When it comes to designing this extra gruff Leon for Requiem, the director stated, “Though he is a personality who carries lots on his shoulders, we took loads of care in refining him to be an ‘ikeoji’ [a cool/attractive guy],” including that the response to this new trailer made the event workforce completely happy.
Elsewhere within the interview with Automaton, Requiem producer Masato Kumazawa detailed Leon’s fancy new trip: a Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT. Kumazawa stated, “We have been searching for a automotive that match Leon, and fortunately, Porsche kindly agreed, which led to a full collaboration.” The Requiem producer says this Porsche is a custom-built Cayenne Turbo GT meant to suit the sport’s world, including that “it is a one-of-a-kind automotive.”
