Desperately need assistance with Mc100 controller.

Purchased this new controller for myself. Had a laps in judgment and let my little cousin use it for an hour. Now it's non working and I'm pissed. It wont connect with something, and the often rainbow lighting has gone utterly crimson. I don't need to purchase one other one however i want it.
