
Guillaume Broche, CEO of Sandfall Interactive and director on Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, has revealed throughout a latest interview that the group will possible make some ‘drastic selections’ that received’t go down effectively with everybody for its subsequent, as-yet unannounced venture.
We’re simply going to do once more what we actually loved. If folks get on board, nice. If not, effectively, too dangerous. We didn’t make the primary sport simply to please folks, truly. And I believe that’s why it labored. So for the following sport, we’ll make some drastic selections too, and perhaps folks received’t prefer it and that positive. We have now such a close-knit and funky group. It’s actually the ambiance, like a gaggle of mates making a sport. It permits us to remain actually grounded. We’re going to do it once more in our little studio in Montpellier.
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 was launched for PS5, PC, and Xbox Collection X/S in April 2025, and was an enormous success each critically and commercially. Again in November, the group admitted it was shocked by the sport’s success, with Broche telling Radio Instances Gaming, “It’s going to be cool. It’s not going to be huge, it’s going to be cool. And what’s taking place right now is like, as we are saying, no person actually understands what’s taking place.”
