Apparently I'm residing on a rock once more. There’s a correct Crash Bandicoot sport for Android!
It's made in unity, has built-in contact controls and might be instantly downloaded from the linked url.
I used to be deeply let down by the final 'official' crash sport for Android (Crash on the Run). That is precisely what I wished on a regular basis!
