Blizzard’s standard Motion RPG, Diablo IV, has simply hit Season 14, including new dungeons and executives, in addition to Mythic Distinctive objects. Plus that Overwatch x Diablo collab we have all been dying for…?

However that is not the most important information for Linux avid gamers, as it seems that yesterday’s Season 14 replace broke Diablo IV for Linux customers, returning an error everytime you attempt to launch the sport.

The builders had been made conscious of the problem quickly after the replace and did launch a hotfix to attempt to resolve the issue, however it seems as if it did not do the job, with many customers nonetheless reporting that the sport is unplayable on Linux. On the plus facet, it does imply that the builders are eager to keep up Linux compatibility and can probably retry one other hotfix within the close to future.

Diablo IV was the twenty second most performed recreation on the Steam Deck for the month of June 2026, so it will probably have an effect on a reasonably large proportion of the participant base. There isn’t any doubt that this reality is among the the explanation why the builders are attempting to repair this concern rapidly. It’s a disgrace, although, that the patch apparently wasn’t examined in any respect on Linux previous to launch.
