In line with the Lenovo Legion Go subreddit, by way of PCGamer, many customers are reporting that the newest BIOS replace (launched June seventeenth 2026) is bricking their handheld units, rendering them unusable. The BIOS in query is model vN3CN42WW. In case you have not up to date your BIOS not too long ago in your Lenovo Legion Go, we might suggest you maintain off on doing so till the difficulty is mounted.

So as to add much more distress to the customers who’re affected by this, it seems as if Lenovo themselves have not acknowledged this as a difficulty on their finish, and are charging customers to have their Legion Go’s mounted if the system is out of guarantee, with one consumer in Europe quoted over $250 to have their system repaired by Lenovo.

If you’re coated beneath guarantee and are having points, positively examine in with Lenovo to see if you may get your system repaired without spending a dime, as they seem to have changed the motherboards in units coated by guarantee. Hopefully Lenovo will situation an announcement addressing this situation, however to date the corporate hasn’t talked about it.

It is also value noting that the difficulty solely seems to have an effect on the Lenovo Legion Go, not Legion Go 2 or Legion Go S units.
