The reviews that Microsoft might be transferring Halo beneath Activision Blizzard King (ABK) really make plenty of sense once you have a look at what Microsoft owns. ABK already has the Name of Obligation improvement machine ..Treyarch, Infinity Ward, Sledgehammer, Raven and Beenox. As an alternative of getting Halo Studios carry the complete franchise, Microsoft might doubtlessly use an analogous multi-studio mannequin for Halo. Halo Studios might stay the inventive lead whereas different studios contribute to multiplayer, campaigns, expertise, live-service content material, and so on. I’m not saying Halo is turning into Name of Obligation, or that Treyarch is immediately making the subsequent Halo. That’s hypothesis. However Microsoft now owns each franchises and their improvement ecosystems. If the ABK transfer is actual, possibly the aim isn’t to switch Halo Studios possibly it’s to provide Halo the identical sort of improvement infrastructure that makes Name of Obligation doable. Would you be okay with different ABK studios engaged on Halo so long as Halo Studios remained in control of the franchise?
