Nintendo has taken to social media to disclaim the report from Japanese politician Satoshi Asano that it’s working with the Japanese authorities to foyer towards using AI. Nevertheless, the Kyoto-based firm stated in its message that whether or not AI is used or not, it’s going to proceed to guard its IP towards misuse.

“Opposite to current discussions on the web, Nintendo has not had any contact with the Japanese authorities about generative AI. Whether or not generative AI is concerned or not, we are going to proceed to take mandatory actions towards infringement of our mental property rights.”
