A Closing Fantasy Ways remaster is basically taking place, and can launch on PS4, PS5, and Steam this September.
With the announcement, Sq. Enix has revealed statements from the remaster’s growth leads, and the web has responded particularly to feedback from Yasumi Matsuno, author and director of the 1997 authentic.
Matsuno outlined the financial and political context inside which he wrote the Closing Fantasy Ways story—a Japan through which “many had been robbed of hope” amid financial stagnation—and famous that “inequality and division are nonetheless deeply rooted in our society” as we speak.

And now, in 2025—a time when inequality and division are nonetheless deeply rooted in our society—I supply this story as soon as once more.

The Closing Fantasy Ways remaster is formally referred to as Closing Fantasy Ways: The Ivalice Chronicles. It will be out September 30, and can embody two variations of the sport.
The “basic” model “stays true to the unique in nearly each side, however contains some helpful options similar to auto save,” says Sq. Enix. Alternatively, the “enhanced” model provides voiced dialogue, an up to date UI, and different new options and modifications.
