Earlier at the moment, Star Wars: Galactic Racer lastly launched, and I’ve been so excited. I cherished what I performed at Summer season Recreation Fest, so I’ve been trying ahead to getting it in my arms and attempting it out on the Steam Deck. Earlier at the moment, I did, and I believed it was truly fairly playable. It appears as if Valve agrees, because the king simply received the Verified badge not too way back.
Hours in the past, Galactic Racer received a inexperienced checkmark from Valve. This notes that the sport’s default graphical and controller configuration work effectively, the controller icons are right, and the in-game textual content is legible. It additionally says that the first-time setup does want an Web connection and that you’ll have to manually swap over exterior Bluetooth controllers.
After taking part in the sport for myself, I do agree that it matches the factors for the Verified badge, however as a lot as I do discover it playable, I wouldn’t think about it optimum for this sort of sport. Racing video games profit significantly from being performed at 60 FPS, and that’s simply not one thing that it may well hit on the Steam Deck. So, as a lot as I do agree, I nonetheless don’t suppose it’s finest performed on the Deck. Nevertheless, if that is the one means you’ll be able to play, you’ll nonetheless discover rather a lot to take pleasure in right here.
Star Wars: Galactic Racer will be bought for $59.99 on Steam.
