4 years in the past, the Steam Deck hit the market and has proven how nice handheld PC gaming will be. To facilitate that and present which video games are stable to play on the go, Valve created the Steam Deck Verified system. This confirmed which video games have been a “nice expertise” on the Deck, giving gamers extra confidence to decide on video games they might buy for moveable play. And at present, we now have reached over 30,000 video games which have the Verified or Playable badge!

Over on SteamDB, we will see that there are actually 30,006 video games (as of writing) that now have the badges. 21,067 of these are Verified, whereas 8,939 are Playable.

It is a large achievement, and it makes me so comfortable to see. With current video games like BIOMUTANT, Returnal, and Order of the Sinking Star getting their rankings, it would not appear that the rankings are slowing down.

There are nonetheless some points with the system that Valve might want to repair. Some video games which have the inexperienced checkmark are usually not truly “nice experiences”, and we’ve got seen that just lately with Halo: Marketing campaign Developed and Crimson Desert (which went again to Unsupported a couple of days later). I hope they do repair the system, as a result of it is nice to have one thing like this normally.
